Everything you need to know about Hydrographics
Water Transfer Printing (Hydro Dipping) is a highly durable finishing process. The base coat and top coats that are applied during the printing process help to protect the printed design from wear and tear, making it more resistant to scratches, fading, and chipping. When properly cared for, items that have been finished with the water transfer printing technique can last for many years.
Almost anything! Hydrographics can be applied to almost any surface including plastics, metals, glass, wood, and more. If you have an idea, don't hesitate to reach out and ask if we can make it happen. Call us at 503.655.4545 or use our contact form.
Almost any type of pattern can be used for Water Transfer Printing. We use many suppliers for our patterns. All you need to do is look through their catalogs and tell us which pattern number you like! View pattern catalogs here.
Water transfer printing creates a highly durable print and will often last many years with care.
To keep your water transfer printed item looking its best, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or cleaners, and hand wash it gently with mild soap and water. For added protection, we can apply a clear top coat over the printed design.
Laser engraving is a type of machining that uses a laser to cut or engrave a design into a material. Laser engraving is a versatile technology that can be used on a variety of materials, including metals and some plastics.
Laser engraving is often used for creating precision parts or for adding decorative elements to a product. Laser engraving can be used to etch logos, text, or other designs into a material.
Everything you need to know about Cerakote
Cerakote is a specialized thin film ceramic coating that is applied to metal, plastics, and many other objects in order to protect them from corrosion, chemicals, and abrasions. This type of coating is also sometimes referred to as 'ceramic paint'. It can even be used on metal objects that will be exposed to high temperatures, such as exhaust pipes. Cerakote is a great way to protect your investment and keep your items looking new for longer!
Cerakote is highly durable and long-lasting. It won't chip, flake, or scratch off. Its unique ceramic structure protects the surface from corrosion and wear, protecting it for years even in extreme conditions. Cerakote also has excellent chemical resistance, making it ideal for applications that are exposed to harsh chemicals or other contaminants. Additionally, Cerakote can withstand temperatures of up to 1,200°F without breaking down or discoloring. This makes it an excellent choice for outdoor and high-temperature applications. In short, Cerakote offers superior protection compared to other coatings and finishes, making it a great option!
The gun must be fully disassembled before it is Cerakoted. The surface must be properly prepared as well. This includes cleaning and degreasing the metal parts of the firearm. We will then sandblast the surface to create an even finish down to the bare metal and ensure that the Cerakote adheres correctly. This process helps create a seamless finish that will protect your firearm for years to come!
No, Cerakote will not affect the function of your gun in any way. It is a very thin coating that does not interfere with the firing or safety mechanisms of your firearm. In fact, many professional shooters have found that Cerakote can actually improve the accuracy and performance of their firearms due to its superior protection from corrosion and wear.
